Since the foundation of KYORIN Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in 1923, its philosophy has been to cherish life and benefit society by contributing to better health. Embodying this philosophy, each and every employee has persevered with a strong desire, and through the development, manufacturing and widespread adoption of new drugs, we have helped put smiles on the faces of patients and their families who eagerly await treatment.

With the environment surrounding pharmaceutical manufacturers becoming more challenging, I believe that we all need to develop a clear vision to achieve sustained growth as a robust corporation in the future. All employees should make a concerted effort in this respect.

Given this, the KYORIN Group has set out its long-term vision, "HOPE 100," with a target of FY2023 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the founding of KYORIN Pharmaceutical, and also laid out a new medium-term business plan, "HOPE 100 Stage 1," which began in April 2010 covers the period up to FY2015. The founding spirit of KYORIN Pharmaceutical states that "a business is as good as its people." In this way, we place an importance on the development of people and pursue an employee-oriented style of management. For that reason, as one of our visions under HOPE 100 we have set forth "Team KYORIN - No. 1 in Job Satisfaction," a vision in which each and every employee recognizes their own role, and individual strengths are harnessed and combined to make significant contributions towards shared goals. We improve our employees’ abilities by evaluating each person’s efforts and job performance in a fair manner and providing opportunities for growth. Through such initiatives, we seek to become a company providing the greatest job satisfaction, where employees are proud of their jobs, trust the company and their colleagues, and feel a strong sense of unity.

We have adopted the slogan, "A pharmaceutical manufacturer that is trusted by patients and medical professionals, and is recognized for its presence in society." We will approach our business based on this slogan. Specifically we will seek to create new medicine that contributes to health worldwide, and establish a strong presence in specific fields.
