KYORIN Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "KYORIN") announced today that Marubeni Pharmaceuticals Taiwan Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Vibegron licensee Marubeni Pharmaceuticals Corporation (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & COO: Shigeyuki Nishinaka; hereinafter, "Marubeni Pharmaceuticals"), has launched the overactive bladder (OAB) treatment Vibegron (brand name in Japan: Beova®, hereinafter the "Product") in Taiwan on September 22, 2026 (brand name in Taiwan: GEMTESA®).

The Product is a once-daily oral selective β3-adrenergic receptor agonist. It selectively acts on β3 receptors in the bladder and relaxes the bladder, thereby enhancing bladder storage function and improving symptoms associated with OAB, including urinary urgency, urinary frequency and urge urinary incontinence.

In 2023, KYORIN granted Sumitomo Pharma Co., Ltd. exclusive rights to develop, manufacture and commercialize Vibegron in certain Asian regions. Subsequently, these rights were succeeded by Marubeni Pharmaceuticals.

Through this new launch and in partnership with Marubeni Pharmaceuticals, KYORIN aims to make the Product widely available across the contracted countries in Asia, continuing its mission of contributing to people's health.
